Have you ever owned a VW Rabbit? Know of someone who did? Perhaps your father, mother or grandfather? At one point or another one has always heard about someone owning a VW Rabbit. My father used to own several. So did most of his close friends. I heard of stories about traveling throughout Europe back in the day. Sound familiar?
A typical story idea:
I have owned several in my day. I think upward of ten or so. Everyone of them was a delight to drive. It didn't matter if they were a four door, a rust bucket or a diamond in the rough. Today, I still own four. My passion for these cars started when I took a trip to Europe with my father back in 1987. I never knew what a Rabbit was. A Mk1 Golf or some call it Mark 1 Golf. Europe was filled with them. It was when I first received my drivers licence and bought my first car, a 76 yellow five hundred dollar Rabbit. I fell in love from the start...
So why did I start this VW Rabbit related blog? I would like to gather as many stories from previous and current owners. What will I do with these stories? I would like to gather, layout and design both a hard copy and epub publication for the ipad or other mobile electronic device. As a prof. graphic designer, I plan on designing a well composed book that VW afficionados will buy.
